There is a place in the Dolomites where your gaze can truly wander without limits: the Monte Rite, the iconic peak above the Messner Mountain Museum Dolomites, also known as the “Museum in the Clouds,” created by Reinhold Messner.

From here, at over 2,100 meters, you can enjoy one of the most breathtaking 360° views in the entire Dolomite range. On clear days, like during our visit, the panorama stretches across legendary peaks such as Monte Pelmo—often called the “Throne of God”—and the stunning Tofane, the iconic mountains of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

How to reach the summit
Monte Rite is accessible in several ways:

On foot, via scenic trails starting from Passo Cibiana
By bike, following the paved road leading all the way to the top
By shuttle, typically running from June 1st, ideal for a more relaxed visit
