Autumn in the Dolomites is surely the most beautiful season when it comes to natural landscapes. Gone are the July and August crowds and once again the mountains find their more natural character; trails and itineraries are no longer crowded with hikers.
The days are still long enough and the first snow appears on the higherst peaks, while the forests turns all shades of yellow, orange, red, and green. Animals come down to the valley looking for a warmer and more comfortable climate.
The available mountain trekking excursions are still many and the dry and crispy air make for pleasant and serene trekking. The season is the best for photography lovers, offering spectacular sunrises and fire red sunsets while skies turn cobalt blue.
