Information about the off-piste skiing itinerary Bus de Tofana
From the arrival point of Bus de Tofana chairlift you will ascend on foot with a 30 minute walk to get at he foot of the vertical rock face of Tofana di mezzo.
To access the hole in the rock face, usually climbers descend along the via ferrata using not only the rope but also crampons and climbing axes. The so called Bus de Tofana is an amazing window on the Dolomites summits, the view from that point is extraordinary and unforgettable.
The slope is very steep at the beginning, you will have to be careful and always check the snow conditions. Then, halfway down the slope, the rill becomes wider and more enjoyable, ending up on a wonderful decline between Tofana di Mezzo and the majestic Tofana di Rozes.
The itinerary leads to the mountain hut Rifugio Dibona, where the cozy terrace is so tempting that you will certainly stop to have a rest and a well-deserve taste of the traditional cuisine.
