Information on the mountain bike or e-bike excursion along the beautiful Boite Valley

From the station in Cortina we take the old Dolomitic train track that runs south through the towns located in the Boite Valley.

During this excursion it is a must to visit the home where the painter Titian was born or the eye-glass museum, eye glass manufacturing being a tradition in Cadore. Then we descend to the great Lago Cadore where we can take nice walks along the nature trails through the thermal and archeological area in Lagole. This is one of the most important Holy grounds of the Paleo-Venetian civilization, tightly knit to the fertility gods because of the magical and picturesque spring waters.

The trail develops in an enchanting forest among brooks, springs, and tiny lakes such as the “Lago delle Tose” (in local dialect Tose means girls)
The smell of sulfur is quite strong, and the surrounding vegetation is luscious.

Once we reach the end of our trail near the Calalzo train station, special buses equipped to carry bicycles and passengers will take us back to Cortina.
