At 2496 meters, the Rocchetta di Prendera is the highest of the group of four peaks comprising the Rocchette Ridge, a border between the territories of Cortina d'Ampezzo and San Vito di Cadore.
The backcountry excursion to the Rocchette in Cortina, runs along wide pastures gently climbing up to the foot of the Ridge. To reach the cross on the summit you must tackle a steeper stretch, but with no relevant difficulty.
We suggest this backcountry excursion to those who want to spend a quiet and relaxing day, with no real or technical danger. It's ideal for those who are trying out ski mountaineering. The lodge offers great cuisine using local products.
