Cortina - Dobbiaco Run

The 31,5 km foot race Cortina-Dobbiaco Run takes place every year in June, in the hearth of the beautiful Dolomites. It gathers more than 4000 runners coming from all over Europe and the world.

The path follows the track of the former railway that used to go from Dobbiaco in Alta Pusteria to Cortina d'Ampezzo.

F.O.R. Foundation Organization Running

The creator of this amazing competition is the Italian former long-distance runner Gianni Poli, the winner of 1986 New York City Marathon and the current president of the organizing committee.

Gianni Poli discovered himself this wonderful itinerary in 1988, when he was training for the Boston Marathon, and the following year organized the first edition of the Cortina-Dobbiaco Run exactly on that track, in the hearth of the Dolomites.
