The Ampezzo valley, where Cortina is located, and its surroundings, with their unique dolomitic morphology, offer more than 200 breathtaking off-piste itineraries, differing in length and level of difficulty.
The Dolomiti SkiRock Mountain Guides will choose the itinerary depending on the snow and weather conditions and will guide you in complete safety down steep slopes, through spectacular couloirs and woods covered with snow, in search of the perfect powder and most safe terrain and teaching you the specific off-piste skiing techniques.
We organize all-day excursions and multi-day skiing tours, with overnight stays in high mountain huts.
Off-piste skiing courses
Dolomiti SkiRock organizes off-piste skiing courses for beginners, who want to approach to this wonderful discipline, as well as for skiers willing to take their skills to the next level. Our courses cover various topics, such as:
- off-piste skiing techniques;
- safety measures: how to use the Artva (avalanche transceiver), shovel and probe, avalanche rescue;
- assessment of the conditions of the slopes and faces, interpretation of all the signals that the mountain can give us;
- how to safely equip to enter into a steep gully, descent techniques, correct use of crampons.
