Cima Grande di Lavaredo - Normal Route

Wonderful day to climb the Cima Grande South Side with Angelo and his son Nicola.

We started froma Cortina just before the sunrise to reach the bottom of the wall around 7.15 a.m. The route it is not very technical, but to find the right direction it is not always easy, also on the way down.

From the 2999 meters of altitude of the summit the view is amazing on all the Dolomites Range and with a perfect clear day as we had, it is possible to look far away to the big glacier of Adamello, to Monte Cevedale and the big austrian mountain: the Grossglockner.

  • Time to climb up : 2.20 hrs
  • Time to climb down : 2.30 hrs
  • Time of the complete round : 6.30 hrs
