Contact usThe Dolomites mountaineering day to Mount Pelmo is long and challenging, but makes for a spectacular excursion with Giuseppe, Giacomo, Giorgio and Andrea.
We left Ciauta Shelter at 5 a.m. and reached the Venezia Shelter; we then started climbing along the Pelmo Normal Route, first covering the long and exposed Ball Ledge, with the famous “cat crossing”, then climbing along the so called “caregon” (big chair), the splendid glacial circle of the Pelmo.
After reaching the south pass at an elevation of 3000 meters, we turned back, following the same route we climbed and reaching our starting point after 12 hours, exhausted but completely satisfied.
It was a great and memorable day, compliments galore to the whole team!
