Via Ferrata Piz da Lech de Boè in Corvara

We reach this beautiful and emotional Via Ferrata in Val Badia using the lifts in Corvara, the Piz Boe' gondola and the Vallon chair lift.

By lift we reach a great rocky amphitheater at an elevation of 2550 meters; we can make a pit stop at the Kostner Hut, managed by an Alpine guide named Agreiter and his wife.

From the summit, we can enjoy a beautiful view of the most prestigious peaks in the Dolomites: Marmolada, Civetta, Pelmo, Antelao, Sorapiss, Tofane, Conturines and Lavarella.

Information on the Via Ferrata Piz da Lech in Corvara, Val Badia

The Via Ferrata Piz da Lech in Corvara, Val Badia,, which has been totally redone in 2013, offers the climber a safe and beautiful vertical climb.

From the Vallon chair lift we immediately take a trail on the right leading us to the bottom of the rocky faces of the great amphitheater. Within 20 minutes, following the signs we reach the start of the via ferrata.

The via ferrata starts right away along a very technical vertical face. Along the route a typical and interesting passage features climbing ladders, bolted to the rock, overtaking an overhang wall 30 meters high.

Once the via ferrata is completed, we are going to walk to the top for about 20 minutes along an easy trail.

Coming back, we follow the common route, along a ridge visible from the summit, down to the Piz Boe' gondola. Along the descent, we will find more stretches of via ferrata.

Half way through the ridge we can descend to the right, reaching the Vallon chair lift.
