Tofana di Rozes ski mountaineering excursion

The ascent of Tofana di Rozes, one of the main Dolomites summits, is a demanding but highly satisfying ski mountaineering excursion. It competes with the Monte Antelao ascent for the title of most beautiful ski mountaineering excursion of the Dolomites in the province of Belluno.

In order to ascend the so called "Regina delle Dolomiti" (Queen of the Dolomites), excellent physical fitness and high level of technical mountaineering skiils are required. The exciting ascent along the upper crest will lead you to the summit (3225 metres), from where it is possible to enjoy an amazing view of the whole Ampezzo basin and the peaks that encompass it.

Information about the Tofana di Rozes ski mountaineering excursion

The ski mountaineering excursion to Tofana di Rozes usually starts from the mountain hut Rifugio Dibona, which is reachable by car, or from the turning point on the road that leads to the hut.

A different, amazing possibility is the combination of the ascent to Tofana di Rozes with the excursion to Bus di Tofana: a demanding but exciting itinerary.
