Program for the ski mountaineering weekend in the Dolomites at Fanes Alp
Dolomiti SkiRock offers a weekend of ski mountaineering in the Dolomites at Fanes Alp, in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park, inclusive of two pleasant and interesting itineraries for ski mountaineering in the mountains surrounding the Rifugio Fanes, where we are going to spend one night.
Saturday
We meet at 8:30 am at Dolomiti SkiRock offices in Cortina. We ride by car to Passo Falzarego and by cable car to Lagazuoi Mountain.
We make our descent along the Lagazuoi Alp, reaching the small Scotoni Lake. From here we start climbing to Forcella del Lago along the beautiful and wide Campestrin Valley, up to the top.
We ski downhill following along varied and articulated slopes toward Tadega Pass, finally reaching the Fanes Lodge for dinner and the overnight stay.

Elevation loss: 1250 meters
Climbing time: about 4 and ½ hours
Total time for the excursion: 5 to 6 hours

Sunday
Ski Mountaineering climb to the top of Col Becchei at 2794 meters.
Descent to Cortina along the spectacular Fanes Valley.
Elevation gain/loss 710 meters
Climbing time: about 3 and ½ hours
Total excursion time: about 5 hours
Level of difficulty: Medium Level Skier
