Ski Mountaineering in Val Formazza

Formazza is a town in Northern Piedmont, bordering with the Valais Canton in Switzerland to the west and with Canton Ticino to the north-east.

As we travel through Val Formazza, we can observe the granite quarries, a precious variety called sarizzo; then we reach the small town of Riale, a tiny hamlet with just a few homes, two hotels and a magnificent church on top of the hill.

This beautiful place is known as one of the most snow-clad
