Ski mountaineering excursion to the mountain pass Forcella del Nevaio, in the Cadini di Misurina mountain group

The Cadini di Misurina mountain group is the perfect example of the peculiar Dolomites' environment, with sharp pinnacles, high mountain passes, ravines and valleys. The location of this mountain group is amazing: it lies between some of the most famous peaks of the Dolomites and from there it is possible to enjoy amazing views of Monte Cristallo to the west, Monte Sorapiss to the south-west, Marmarole to the south-east and Tre Cime di Lavaredo to the north.

Cadini di Misurina, together with Lake Misurina, which is located at the foot of the mountain group, are particularly fascinating and evocative because of the ancient tales and legends that the people of the Dolomites have been passing on to the children since a very long time and that can also be found in several books.

These majestic mountains are a paradise for the ski mountaineering lovers, as the terrain is perfect for practicing this sport. The possible itineraries are numerous: from the easiest ones, suitable for beginners, to the more difficult and challenging paths, suitable for expert, trained and technically skilled mountaineers.
