Off-piste skiing Staunies North Couloir to Cristallo

An amazing sheer couloir that cuts the north face of Monte Cristallo for more than 1500 metres.

In the town of Cortina this rill is known as Canale di Adriana (Adriana's couloir) in memory of the mother of Kristian Ghedina, the famous downhill skiing champion from Cortina.

This demanding slope should be accessed only with perfect snow conditions, on this wide couloir the skiers can test their technical skills and enjoy a highly satisfying skiing experience.

The access to the off-piste skiing slope Canalino Staunies Nord is possible from the arrival point of the Monte Cristallo chairlift, which is 3000 metre high.

Usually it is necessary to climb down with the rope along a 30 metre high rock face to reach the actual slope, that for the first 150 metres is very steep and narrow.

The final part of the couloir is less steep than the previous one and ends on the amazing declines of Val Fonda, where to enjoy the excursion final slope.
