Information on the excursion on snowshoes to Monte Piana
From Cortina, we drive to Lake Misurina; past the lake we take a road taking to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, where you can clearly see the large parking lot where the snowmobiles depart.
Within 20 minutes the fast snowmobiles reach the Bosi Hut at 2205 meters, which includes a small but interesting WWI Museum where you can view interesting historical photographs.
The excursion starts slowly going North up the pyramidal monument dedicated to the poet Giosuè Carducci.
We return to the hut in a large loop, admiring the Croda Rossa, Mount Cristallo, the Cadini di Misurina, and finally the majestic north faces of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
You can choose to return down to the valley by sled along a fun snowy road.
