Information about the ski mountaineering excursion to Lastoi de Formin
The ski mountaineering excursion to Lastoi de Formin has its starting point close to Passo Giau. From there, the pass Forcella Giau is already visible: you will reach it ascending along the slope and from there you will see the Mondeval plain.
From Forcella Giau you will descend to the mountain hut Malga di Mondeval, then ascend again towards Forcella Formin and from there to the summit of Lastoi de Formin (2657 metres).
From this summit you can enjoy an amazing view of Monte Civetta on your right side, Monte Pelmo right in front of you and Monte Antelao on your left side.
The skiing slope on the north face is relatively easy and enjoyable and leads until the edge of a wood, where it crosses a trail that reaches Peziè de Parù and its mountain hut, an amazing place where to have some rest and a delicious meal with the inevitable celebratory beer.
