Croda Rossa ski mountaineering excursion

The Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo is the one of the most beatiful and "wild" peaks around Cortina, as it is included both in the Dolomiti d'Ampezzo Nature Park (Belluno province) and the Fanes - Sennes and Braies Nature Park (Bolzano province). This massif is mainly made of dolostone, but owes its reddish colour to the limestone of the Jurassic Period and marl of the Cretaceous Period.

The ski mountaineering excursion to Forcella Col Fiedo is amazing from a naturalistic and panoramic point of view and goes along a circular itinerary that reaches from West the pass Forcella di Col Fiedo.

When entering the wide Castello di Valbones amphitheatre, you will enjoy an amzing view of the sharp, reddish pinnacles that surround you.
