Climbing the English Tower in the 5 Torri

The Route was opened in 1901 by G.W. Wgatt, G. S. Menardi and A. Maioni.

The English Tower is the smallest of the 5 Torri, just 70 meters high, reaching high up on its vertical overhanging sides.

Climbing the English Tower is recommended to climbers who do not yet possess a mature climbing experience. It is an ideal itinerary to hold a climbing class.

Information on the English Tower Climb in the 5 Torri

L1 III+
We climb a prominent corner/crack on the East face, reaching a small terrace with a cemented piton where we belay. Otherwise we keep on climbing for a few meters and we reach a second belay on a large ledge.

L2 III+
Right after the belay we traverse to the right on a nice slab and then going on a slant, we reach a spur that we climb up to the final belay.

All belays rest on large cemented pitons. We climb down following the same face by two 20 meters rappels.
