Interregional Mountain Guide Course

A complete week in Aurina Valley dedicated to the ski mountaineering tours and avalanche rescue techniques during the course to have the UIAGMA Mountain Guide certification.

Dolomiti SkiRock Mountain Guide Mario Dibona and other instructors had examined the Aspirants during the ski mountaineering courses giving his contribute of experience to these guys coming from all over Italy.

Intense days with long tours and a positive 6000 meters of climbing and ski down along valleys, gullies and steep slopes.

How to become a Mountain Guide

To becoming a UIAGM Mountain Guide it is a long and difficult journey.

After the admission tests, the course it takes 4 years divided in two different periods:

  • the course to become Aspirant Mountain Guide
  • the course to pass from the Aspirant certification to the UIAGM Mountain Guide Certification

At the end of the courses all the participants has to show to be able to go with their clients on any different terrain taking care on the safety:

  • rock climbing
  • ice climbing
  • mix climbing
  • ski mountaineering
  • off-piste skiing
  • mountaneering

The UIAGMA Mountain Guides and the Certified Ski Teachers are the only professionals of the mountain activities, as it is ordered by the law.
