In 7 days and 6 nights I summited all the most important peaks around Cortina; the solo enterprise took place in wintertime without coming down to the valley for supplies.
Enthusiastic mountain runner, in 2001 with friend Fabio Meraldi we set the 3h 10’ record from Cortina’s centre to the top of Tofana di Rozes and back with a total of 4180 m vertical drop.
In 1990, after climbing in France, Spain, Africa, America, and Greece, I wished to explore the highest mountains in the world: from Himalaya in Nepal to the Karakorum mountain chain in Pakistan as far as Peru’s Cordillera Blanca.
Backcountry and off-piste skiing top adventurer, I have skied across almost all the Alpine glaciers, in the Norwegian fiords, down Mt Toubcal in Africa and Mt Elbrus in Giordania.
In December 2006, I was awarded Knight of the Italian Republic for sports achievements.
